A few days ago the official Facebook page for The Avengers posted some Iron Man 3 concept art from Ryan Meinerding. In the image we we RDJ’s Tony Stark being chased by men with guns while Stark himself is partially in his Iron Man suit.
The real spoiler here is the long rumored and eventually sort of confirmed extremis story line. Iron Man’s new suit (whether or not it deviates from the comic book or not) will involve nano technology. And you can see by the armor on his left arm, it looks like a wispy cloud coming together to form the armor.
Robert Downey Jr., Ben Kingsley, Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Rebecca Hall, Ashley Hamilton, and Guy Pearce round out the cast, and the plot will borrow elements from Warren Ellis’ six-issue “Iron Man: Extremis” comic books which focuses heavily on the spread a genome-attacking viral creation known as Extremis through nanotechnology.
Iron Man 3 is currently shooting under the direction of Shane Black and will be released May 2013.
